Another wild week all round.
Sold-out arena appearances, new records, and a PNKSLM Christmas sale
Hey everyone!
In line with my super glamorous lifestyle, I’m actually writing this week’s mailout from a four hour train to the city of Gothenburg - a Godless city seemingly powered by cheap amphetamine, violence & overpriced seafood - on the west coast of Sweden. (If you’re English, imagine if Coventry was on an incredibly cold, wet and windy coastline, and you’re close.) This annual trip is once again for Viva Sounds festival, which despite my reserved personal feelings towards Gothenburg, is actually a really great event, and if any of you also in town, make sure to join us to see Veps represent PNKSLM tomorrow night at Pustervik!
We’ve actually had a few big things happen this week, so I’ll dive straight in:
SHITKID PLAYED AN ARENA!
Less than a week since we announced ShitKid’s imminent reunion/return, and after her headline show at the PNKSLM Birthday party, she completed a bucket list move on Wednesday night by joining fellow Swedish hooligans Viagra Boys on stage at their biggest ever show, at Stockholm Globen Arena. Dodgy video evidence of that here. Not really much else to say about that other than we’re super fucking proud of her, and you should pre-order her new “The Essential VOL I” pretty soon, before the cocaine wears off all the Viagra Boys fans, and they snap them all up to trade for memecoins or whatever they’re into.
HEMI HEMINGWAY HAS A NEW ALBUM!
Praise the lord, PNKSLM has another album that you can pay for now and receive in a few months time! This time it’s from the damn sexy Hemi Hemingway, and seriously this is a really special record. Even if you hate great music, just look at this fucking album artwork! Tell me that’s not going to be sold on H&M T-Shirts for €90 in 30 years time… We’ve also dropped his latest single - this time a duet with Vera Ellen. Check that out and the pre-order options here.
GASOLINA IS THE NEW MARIAH? (PLEASE)
Now that our American friends finally got that Thanksgiving thing out the way, the rest of us can officially start to get excited for Christmas. And to kick things off, we just released a double single from Gasolina (the solo pop project from Lina, the ShitKid bassist). I’m absolutely not biased in the slightest on this when I can officially confirm that these are the TWO GREATEST Christmas songs written in at least 20 years. The writing and production will blow both you away, make you feel things you haven’t felt around this season since you were 16, and leave you wishing you could listen to them all year long. Go listen to them here, or watch the no-expense-spared videos that we made in the back of our office, with a cheap Amazon greenscreen HERE. Please feel free to stream the hell out of them.. I heard Christmas songs are the fast track to financial success in this dying industry, and as a slight disclaimer, I might have been involved personally in the producing of these. And if I could retire by January that would be just fantastic.
BLACK FRIDAY/CHRISTMAS/WHATEVER SALE
And finally, whilst on the topic of our dying industry in late stage capitalism- it’s also that Black Friday Shite that you Americans forced upon the world. And now as per international law - we too are having a sale. 30% off everything in the PNKSLM store, excluding pre-orders, just use the code XMAS25 when checking out.
Side note: Just to demonstrate the extent of this Black Friday bullshit, even on the train I’m on right this minute - the cafe is having a “Black Friday sale” on fucking chocolate balls. Ugh.
Wish us luck on surviving Gothenburg, and hopefully we’ll be back next week. Have a great weekend.
Luke, Johan & Axel.

Coventry on a coastline, sounds like Grimsby. Why is Grimsby called Grimsby ? Because it's Grims (plural) and by the sea.
I wont go into how Scunthorpe got it's name.
I live near Coventry (and even been there when absolutely unavoidable), where the streets are paved with discarded chewing gum spit, so Gothenberg does indeed sound like Hell on Earth.
